# GDS content updates

Suppliers who subscribe to ENTERPRISE CONNECTIVITY’ ContentHub service use HCD as a single point of entry for distributing hotel descriptive content to both ADS (online) and GDS channels. No extra processing is needed by the supplier. However, the rules associated to the specific GDS fields must be followed in order to have a successful update to the GDSs.

Warnings will be returned when elements or attributes required for GDS updating are not provided. The updates will still be applied to HCD, but the data will not be published to the GDSs until the missing fields are provided.

For those suppliers who do not subscribe to ContentHub, the specific GDS business rules can be ignored. Any GDS- specific information will be ignored if supplied for a property that does not subscribe to GDS content updating via HCD.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://developer.rategain.com/content/content-update-1/gds-content-updates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
